The Client

Balmy Beach Club is a longstanding, member-based social and athletic institution in Toronto's Beaches neighbourhood, and not a conventional public restaurant.

The Build

The Balmy Beach Club bar and kitchen renovation in The Beaches was delivered by PT General Contractor as a turn-key project. The existing bar and kitchen were fully gutted, then rebuilt rather than refreshed. New structural work supports the revised layout, and new concrete slab work went in. New plumbing was installed for water supply, drainage and connections to the kitchen fixtures and beverage equipment, with the rough-ins set in alignment with the concrete work, the equipment locations and the millwork dimensions. PT coordinated the new HVAC for the kitchen and the adjoining service areas, and the new commercial hood and ventilation system with the ductwork, make-up air and equipment placement.

Front of house, PT built a new bar and installed new custom millwork throughout, coordinated around the bar layout, work surfaces, service equipment and storage. The kitchen was rebuilt as a new commercial kitchen, with PT coordinating the commercial-kitchen equipment and the final finishes. The three-month renovation was completed in summer 2025.
